Curtis and I ended up tag-teaming this event. I did the temple and Kiddush Luncheon photography and Curt covered the party. Emily and Charlie are bright and energetic and were a bast to work with. They performed their torah well at Temple Adat Elohim and partied-hard at their reception, at The Calamigos Ranch where Shawn from Hart to Hart provided the entertainment.
Decorated in a cool blue ‘n white color scheme, the Skirball Cultural Center was the setting for Griffin’s Bar Mitzvah. Griffin performed his torah in an auditorium setting before moving on to a hockey-themed reception. Carol at King Dahl Event Design handled the decor and Kevin from Milestone Productions managed the entertainment.
I last saw Nicole at her old brothers Bar Mitzvah in October of 2005. Josh had a kick-arse party then and it was reasonable to expect the same for Nicole. Of course, I wasn’t disappointed. Cindy Hassel of SRO Events gave the ballroom of the El Caballero Country Club a Pink, Black and White “Monogram” theme and entertainment was provided by Mark Ray. Of course Nicole had to do some work for all this, and her performance at the Bima at Valley Beth Shalom was reported to have been great.
