San Diego has some great cycling areas. You can climb in the canyons or enjoy the flats near the water. With that in mind I brought my roadbike on the trip and made a detour to Coronado Island with my buddy Paul for a ride on Silver Strand beach. Foolishly I forgot to bring a camera, so this nifty MapMyFitness plugin is all you get to see.

Gotta admit though… MapMyFitness is pretty cool. Poke around a bit and you’ll see that you can calculate your calories burned, etc based on the climbing, your speed etc.
