I have a wide selection of packages available to suit most any budget.  All “inclusive” packages have the following:

  • Custom designed, leather-bound album
  • Complete set of hardcopy proofs
  • Online proofing
  • Online slideshow

Packages for Sterling start at $4,800 and associate packages start at $2,500.  Optional extras, such as engagement shoots, multiple photographers and album options are what compose a variety of other packages, ranging up to $10,000 and beyond.  Additionally, I’m happy to customize any package and tailor it to your requirements.  Hourly coverage is also available with a two-hour minimum.  To get pricing for your specific event please contact the studio.

Who photographs my event?

I personally photograph any event that meets the $4,800 package minimum.*  Associate packages and hourly coverage are photographed by someone from my in-house staff, one of my partners, or myself depending on availability the package booked.
*Minimum may vary according to event date and type.

How do I secure the date?  What are your payment terms?

A deposit of $1000 will secure the event date.  The full balance of the contract is due one week before your event.

What about destination events?

Destination events are enthusiastically accepted.  Travel fees and additional charges vary according to date, location and type of event.  Typically the client is responsible for two nights of hotel, roundtrip transportation and a modest travel fee to cover incidental expenses.

Have you ever been published?

Yes, on a number of occasions.  My work as been featured in Inside Weddings, InStyle Magazine, Ceremony Magazine, People, and a smattering of other publications.  To see about the latest haps, check out the Press Category

Does anyone use film anymore?

No, not often.  Film, specifically medium-format and high-speed black and white is available by request.

What equipment do you use?

A ton.  See The Gear Bag for all the info.

How many proofs will I get?  Is there a limit?

There is no limit to the number of photographs that will be taken or the number of proofs you will receive.  It all boils down to the number of photographers and the size of your event.  A two photographer event with 75 really enthusiastic, out-going guests will always have more photos than a one photographer 150 guest stick-in-the-mud wedding.  As a rule of thumb each additional photographer usually creates 30% more proofs.  Of course, as I said before the biggest issue is you and your friends.  The more fun / willing / outgoing you are the more great photos you’ll have.  Your event really is reflected in the photos.

How long till I see photos?

Online proofs and the slideshow are typically up about 2-5 days after the event.  Paper proofs take about 10 business days.

Why do you still use proofs?  Isn’t online the way to go?

I <3 paper proofs.  Simply put, there is no better way to enjoy photographs than by flipping through hardcopies.  Proofs are a key component of the ordering process and they create a master record of all the photographs taken at your event, not just what ends up in your album.  Online proofing is a great tool for sharing pictures with your friends and relatives, but due to technical limitations it will be a long time before anyone cozies up to their computer with any real enthusiasm to choose photos for an event album.

Who makes the album?  Do I get to choose the pictures?

The client is always right, right?  You’ll be in charge of making all initial photo selections for the album.  My job will be to study your selections and make suggestions for photos that might be worth adding or subtracting.  Album layout is handled entirely by me with your input on style and taste.  The final album design and layout is always available for review before printing and binding.
